About Rotary Scholarships

As part of Rotary International's mission and vision, the Rotary Club of New Braunfels offers academic scholarships to graduating high school seniors seeking a four-year degree, two-year degree or certification, or a CTE education or certification.
 
Eligibility Requirements
 

Rotary Club of New Braunfels Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria in order to qualify for consideration:

  • Must be a graduating senior for the current calendar year.
  • Must reside in the New Braunfels, Texas zip code area.
  • Must have a minimum overall 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale; most current transcript(s) required.
  • Must have applied to, with the intent to enroll in a university, college, technical school, or certification program with the intent to obtain a degree or certification. 
  • A child or grandchild of any current Rotarian of a Rotary Club chartered in New Braunfels, Texas, is not eligible.
  • Must submit a personal statement describing why you believe your academic achievements, community service, leadership potential, extracurricular activities, and financial need qualify you to receive the scholarship. *Maximum one (1) page. 
  • A minimum of one (1) teacher or counselor recommendation is required.
  • Award is based on financial need, community service, leadership potential, academic achievement, and extracurricular activities.
Application Deadline is March 6, 2026
 
 
Awardee Requirements
 

If you are notified that you have been selected to receive a Rotary Club of New Braunfels Scholarship, in order to receive it you must:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited univerisity, college, technical school, or certifcation program; 
  • Be a degree-seeking or certificate seeking student;
  • Meet the scholarship eligibility requirements, and;
  • Follow the procedure for renewal (if applicable).


Rotary Club of New Braunfels Scholarship awardees must meet the following requirements in order to maintain their scholarship:

  • Attend all classes enrolled at all times barring verifiable hardships.
  • Continue to be enrolled as a full-time student; full-time eligibilty as required by the educational program attending.
  • Contact the Rotary Club of New Braunfels within 30 days of the start of each semester to request disbursement providing the following documents: 1.) Official transcript.  2.) Official tuition statement. 3.) Proof of enrollment. 
    *Documents must include students name, school ID, tuition statement must indicate financial business office address where payment is to be mailed. Pdf. format preferred.
  • If the Student (for any reason) needs to take a semester off, unenroll, transfer schools causing a break from their program, or interrupts their enrollment, the Student must advise us as soon as possible. Failure of notification may result in reallocation of any remaining awarded funds back to the Rotary Club of New Braunfels Scholarship Foundation.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress, eligibility, and a passing GPA of 2.0 or greater.
  • If the Student is placed on any academic probation, he/she must advise us immediately. 


Scholarship recipients must meet the requirements set forth in the Scholarship Agreement, as well as sign the Agreement to indicate their acceptance. The Rotary Club of New Braunfels reserves the right to revoke a recipients scholarship agreement and future disbursement for actions that negatively impact the integrity, mission, and values of Rotary Club, its members, affiliates and or communities it serves. Notification of revocation will be provided in writing and mailed to the recipients address on file no later than 30 days from the date the scholarship committee determines said action and board approval has been recorded.
