We are invited to volunteer at a special event sponsored by Rotary District 5840, the More Delightful than Frightful Halloween Bash at Morgan's Wonderland! This special event will let kids and their families celebrate in a safe, fun environment. We are needed to volunteer for a variety of tasks, including:
The event will take place every Friday, Saturday, & Sunday plus Halloween day through the first weekend in November. Volunteers must register individually at THIS LINK. There are 2 shifts each day. Shifts range from 3-1/2 to 4 hours, depending upon the day, and you absolutely can serve more than one shift. Spaces for each shift are limited, so sign up early! For more information, click here. Time to dust off that suit of armor and grab a turkey leg! The 2nd annual NB Renaissance Faire is happening on two weekends in December - 12/6 from 6-10pm, 12/7 from 10-10pm, and 12/8 from 10-6pm, as well as 12/13 from 6-10pm, 12/14 from 10-10pm, and 12/15 from 10-6pm. New Braunfels Housing Partners needs 4 people per 2.5-3 hr shift. Volunteers will be collecting parking fees and directing people to available parking spaces. Refreshments and snacks will be available for volunteers at our newly completed Church Hill Property adjacent to Heritage Village during their shifts. New Braunfels Housing Partners is having a volunteer day this Saturday, February 1 at 1465 Churchill in NB. Volunteers and NBHP staff will be assembling bedframes and desks, getting refrigerators ready for use, moving a washer and dryer, cleaning furniture, hanging curtain rods/curtains, organizing and storing kitchen supplies, cleaning the house, and picking up debris outside. Items needed will be cleaning supplies, hand drills/electric screwdrivers, hammers and levels. Please bring work gloves and furniture straps/dollies if helping outside or moving furniture. The weather is predicted to be outstanding--the sun is allegedly coming back for the day! If you plan to attend, please register here in Clubrunner. Guests are very welcome!
