Dec. 21, 2022 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
The committee for Rotary Club of New Braunfels’ newest service project is pleased to introduce to you, Making Spirits Bright, a holiday giving program that will provide the children of 50 local families in need with two Christmas gifts each – something they need and something they want – as well as a meal box packed full of everything essential for a family Christmas dinner and a decorative centerpiece. The gifts and meal boxes will be distributed at the making Spirits Bright luncheon on Wednesday, December 21 during our regular meeting time. Members do not have to be present at the lunch to participate in this program. The Club is asking that members either sponsor a family’s children and purchase their preselected need and want gifts or sponsor a Christmas meal box. There is a suggested minimum of $25 for each gift ($50 per child) and Christmas meal boxes are $60 each. In the case of larger families, Rotarians are allowed to co-sponsor families to help alleviate the overall costs. And you of course are allowed to sponsor both a family and a meal box if you want. Each of the families who have been invited to participate have been fully vetted by Family First and have met all requirements to qualify. Making Spirits Bright is an opportunity to bring joy to children who may otherwise receive very little this holiday season and provide a full Christmas dinner to their family. We appreciate your consideration of continuing to serve our community in unique and thoughtful ways.
Wednesday, November 16 Participating members will sign-up to sponsor a family or a Christmas meal box. Those sponsoring a family will select their family from the Making Spirits Bright tree.
