Rotary Club of New Braunfels presents

Making Spirits Bright 2024 – Candy Christmas

Now in it's third year, Making Spirits Bright is a unique Christmas community service giving and unity program developed to provide a traditional Christmas experience and celebration to underprivileged children and their families living in New Braunfels.

This year's theme is Candy Christmas and our 45 families and their children (approx. 100 adults and 135 children) will be treated to a fun-filled evening of Christmas cheer including:

  • Buffet style holiday meal
  • Live entertainment and Christmas music
  • Guest appearance and pictures with Santa Claus
  • Stockings
  • Keepsake Christmas Ornament
  • Hand-selected Christmas gifts for each child based on their own "needs" and "wants"
  • Take home Christmas meal box including a smoked turkey and all the fixin's

The Club is asking that members either sponsor a child and purchase their preselected "need" and "want gifts", or sponsor a Christmas meal box, or both. There is a suggested minimum of $25 for each gift ($50 per child) and Christmas meal boxes are $75 each.

Making Spirits Bright is an opportunity to bring joy to children who may otherwise receive very little this holiday season and provide a full Christmas dinner to their family. We appreciate your consideration of continuing to serve our community in unique and thoughtful ways.
Sponsorship & Donation Opportunities

For your generous sponsorship, we will recognize you on the Rotary Club of New Braunfels website, social media channels, and post-event new release. Due to the sensitive nature of some of the family’s situations, we are not able to allow children to attend the event. Availability of sponsorships are limited and subject to change.

Santa’s Helpers - Rotary Club Members
Each member of the Rotary Club of New Braunfels has the opportunity to actively participate in Making Spirits Bright by adopting the child of a family, purchasing a Christmas meal box, or both. Adopting a child requires the purchase of gifts for one child of each family. Each child is represented on the Making Spirits Bright Christmas Tree and members select a child’s ornament that lists their “need” gift and their “want” gift that participants then shop for. Those gifts can then be wrapped at the Rotary Christmas Wrapping Party.

General Donations
General donations help to offset the overall costs of the event. Donations in any amount are greatly appreciated.
